The Greek National Opera presented the Roadshow Proagon* on the occasion of Thodoris Economou’s children’s musical Musica! Or the Battle of Sounds. The event took place in the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
In the context of the Roadshow, children and young people had the opportunity to get acquainted with the world of opera and the power of music, listening to the thoughts and ideas of the creators themselves, but also parts of the work. The eventwas presented in collaboration with the Youth Opera, an educational programme of the Greek National Opera, targeted at young artists who have completed their studies and are now making their first professional steps.
The programme started with an open panel discussion with the performance’s creative team moderated by Dr Nikos Xanthoulis. Marivita Grammatikaki, the librettist of Musica! Or the Battle of Sounds, the director Io Voulgaraki, the Youth Opera project coordinator Vangelis Hatzisimos and of course, the composer, Thodoris Economou were present to the panel discussion.
The discussion was followed by a concert by the musicians of the performance Musika! Or the Battle of Sounds, including:

The adventure of "Un Air de famille"' started in September 2018 with an open application for anyone willing to learn singing opera choir arias. Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier received more than 300 applications to the project. All these amateur choristers started working every 15 days with professionnal choirmasters and stage directors.
The final big concert took place on the 19th of April and was the occasion to present the FEDORA Platform and its new commitment to Educational projects with the launch an Education Prize.
